Programming Tracks

We’ll be running five separate tracks of programming at Monsterama which will include panels, demonstrations, performances, and Q & A sessions. Saturday and Sunday mornings we’ll have programming especially for kids who love making monsters!

The 2023 Programming Guide is now LIVE!! Download it via PDF here or 2 images for your phone! Image 1 and Image 2

LITERARY, ART, & COMICS PROGRAMMING
Our author and artist guests will be talking about their books, scripts, films, comics, articles, and other projects on this track.

MEDIA PROGRAMMING
Whether you’re a fan of monster, horror, or science fiction films, television, or music, our new Media programming track has you covered! Come participate in debates over who’s the scariest, what’s the most scientifically accurate, why this film or that television show wasn’t more popular… if you like media, you’ll love hearing our speakers expound upon any number of pertinent subjects, and you can participate as well!

KAIJU PROGRAMMING
Join a group of Kaiju experts, authors, and fans to discuss all things monsters! From Godzilla to King Kong, from posters to model kits, and even where best to travel in Japan if you’re a Kaiju fan!

feb12-9

MAKER PROGRAMMING
This track is for talks and demos of special effects make up, illustration, sculpting, casting and molding, costuming, prop making, crafting, and just about anything else you can do creatively.

feb12-8

SCREENINGS
In addition, we will be screening films and television episodes all weekend long. Most of our screenings will be on 16 millimeter film rather than digital media. The experience of watching an actual film is so much different than watching a DVD or Blu-Ray, and we are lucky to have a large selection of classic and contemporary films and shows available to screen.

feb12-18

Also, some of our filmmaker guests will be screening their own work and providing introductions or commentary and answering questions afterward. This is a rare opportunity to pick the brains of film directors and artists about their work in person!

EXHIBITS
Last year we had lifesized Creatures, Godzilla, and Count Orlok, plus tons of great masks and collectibles on display at Monsterama. 2023 will be even bigger and better! More monsters! More displays! More giant art murals and surprises. Bring your camera!

AUTOGRAPHS
All guests will be happy to sign items, many of them for free. Each guest is different, and some may charge a fee. Most authors will sign books for free, but please ask.

PHOTO OPPORTUNITIES
Some of our guests will be available for photo opportunities at the convention. Prices and scheduled times will be posted, sign up early so you don’t miss getting a picture with your favorite actor, author, or director. We’ll also have lots of cosplayers and exhibits all around the con for photo ops with your own camera at no charge!
