Penny Dreadful is the hex-cellent horror hostess of Shilling Shockers, a TV monster movie program that plagued New England from 2006-2016, and still plays in reruns on local television and via streaming platforms such as the Monster Channel.
In the guise of her alter ego, Danielle Gelehrter, she currently hosts Terror at Collinwood, a podcast dedicated to the classic gothic television series, Dark Shadows. Penny Dreadful won the Rondo Award for Favorite Horror Host in 2007 and again in 2010. She was inducted into the Horror Host Hall of Fame in 2014 and into the Monster Kid Hall of Fame in 2023. Her podcast, ‘Terror at Collinwood’ received the Rondo Award for Best Podcast in 2025.
