MARIETTE HARTLEY

Mariette Hartley has a long, impressive list of credits as an actress. Starting out with a memorable role in Sam Peckinpah’s Ride The High Country in 1962, she went on to appear in Alfred Hitchcock’s Marnie (with Diane Baker) in 1964 as well as The Twilight Zone episode “The Long Morrow”, and Marooned before appearing as Zarabeth on Star Trek in the episode “All Our Yesterdays.”

Hartley appeared on television and in films throughout the 1970’s and ’80’s, notably in the television films Earth II and Genesis II (produced by Gene Roddenberry) as well as memorable guest star turns on The Sixth Sense, Ghost Story, Logan’s Run, and The Incredible Hulk, in which her character Dr. Carolyn Fields marries Bill Bixby’s David Banner. She also appeared in the films The Return of Count Yorga, The Magnificent Seven Ride!, and Skyjacked, among others. She also appeared in Disney’s The Mystery In Dracula’s Castle, and played the Witch in TV’s The Halloween That Almost Wasn’t in 1979.

She also appeared in a very successful set of commercials for Polaroid with James Garner, which led to the popular belief that two were a couple – not so, Hartley even wore t-shirts stating “I am Not Mrs. James Garner” to dispel the myth.

Continuing her career in television through the 1990’s and 2000’s, Mariette’s most recent film is a movie with her husband, Jerry Sroka, documenting their extraordinary relationship called Our (Almost Completely True) Love Story. The couple are appearing with us this year as part of the SERLINGBRATION 100 event, and we are so happy to have them both!
