Mariel Cooksey is an artist and writer whose work has been featured in Famous Monsters of Filmland magazine, the Rod Serling Books’ short-story anthology Submitted For Your Approval, and several of Polar Expressions’ short story and poetry anthologies. A graduate of UBC and University of Virginia, she is also a professional painter and sculptor (aka Miokinon) who is an exhibiting member of the Federation of Canadian Artists and has been featured in multiple galleries throughout British Columbia.
She is the granddaughter of writer Richard Matheson.
