French Stewart is known for his roles as Harry Solomon on the NBC sitcom 3rd Rock from the Sun, as Inspector Gadget in the 2003 direct-to-video film Inspector Gadget 2, and as Chef Rudy on the CBS sitcom Mom. Stewart made his screen debut playing Lieutenant Ferretti in StarGate.
After graduating from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, Stewart joined the regional theater and toured with them for seven years before breaking into television in 1992 with the role of Razor Dee, a DJ on the final season of The New WKRP in Cincinnati. He appeared in Leaving Las Vegas (1995), Glory Daze (1996), McHale’s Navy (1997), Love Stinks (1999), Clockstoppers (2002) as Earl Doppler and Wedding Daze as Nathan Bennett IV. He also contributed his voice as the character of Icarus to the Disney animated series based on their film Hercules.
From 1996 to 2001, he played the role of Harry Solomon in the successful NBC series 3rd Rock From the Sun. More recently, he has been a regular on the sitcom The Middle, playing Principal Cameron, and recently won accolades for his portrayal of Bob Trevino in the film Bob Trevino Likes It.
