Jeff Thompson has been watching, studying, and writing about Dark Shadows and Dan Curtis since he was a (monster) kid. He has written about the Dark Shadows television series, movies, books, conventions, comic books, and memorabilia for fanzines, magazines, websites, Hermes Press, and Syracuse University Press. Jeff is the Rondo Award-nominated author of the books The Television Horrors of Dan Curtis, House of Dan Curtis, and Nights of Dan Curtis. The books examine all four dozen of Curtis’s productions, from House of Dark Shadows to Curtis’s six collaborations with Richard Matheson to War and Remembrance and more. Jeff speaks about Dan Curtis and Dark Shadows on podcasts, including Ghostly Gallery, Late Late Horror Show, and Terror at Collinwood. He has also contributed to home media releases of Dan Curtis’ works, including a slate of new discs from Kino Lorber.

Only semi-retired, Dr. Thompson teaches some English classes at Tennessee State University and Nashville State Community College, where he always shows Somewhere in Time to his students. At home, Jeff has a Dark Shadows guest bedroom, a Joan Bennett wall of pictures, and a Psycho bathroom.
We’re very happy to have Jeff with us to celebrate the work of Richard Matheson and the 60th Anniversary of Dark Shadows!
